  1. Final multivariate model. B denotes the coefficient derived from computed stepwise logistic regression and the Odds ratio is statistically ecoefficient and describes the probability of having a mediastinitis in the presence of a risk factor. The Wald test was obtained by comparing the maximum likelihood estimate of the slope parameter to an estimate of its standard error. SD is the standard error of B and the 95% CI refers to the Odds ratio.
