One hundred and twenty-five patients with Stanford type A aortic dissection who underwent thoracotomy were selected from 200 patients based on the exclusion criteria, and they were divided into two groups: patients with PCC (n = 12), and patients without PCC (n = 113). Seventy-five patients were excluded from this study according to the exclusion criteria. AAD: Stanford type A aortic dissection; PCC: postoperative cerebral complications
