Color is used to designate clinically significant events, interventions, or time intervals. In this example of coronary artery graft surgery, red dots indicate the pre-induction period, yellow dots indicate the pre-bypass period and blue dots represent the post-bypass period. The curved blue line indicates an arterio-venous pressure difference of 60 mmHg
