  1. AF: atrial fibrillation. There were no significant differences in the incidence of postoperative AF among the groups. Four of the 41 patients who received intraoperative and postoperative β-blockers developed postoperative AF. Two of these patients developed AF after discontinuation of postoperative β-blocker therapy.
